I joined African Adventures in July 2019 as a Partnerships Manager. I discovered African Adventures when I was working for NCS, and I have taken two groups of graduates on volunteering trips run by the organisation to Kenya and Ghana. This has allowed me to see first-hand the positive impact our work has on both our partner projects and the young people volunteering.
The main function of my role is to build relationships with potential stakeholders and help them decide which volunteer programme best suits their group. My aim is to make the experience as smooth as possible for the groups we have by providing them with all the necessary information and answering any questions they may have in the run-up to booking their trip.
African Adventures in an organisation that I am proud to say I work for, as their values resonate with my own. Seeing daily updates from our in-country staff, documenting the great work that is being done by our volunteers, makes our work so worthwhile.
Outside of work I am a very keen sportsman and support my local football team, Tranmere Rovers. I also travel all over the world to enjoy my hobby of fishing (not as boring as it sounds!).
