African Adventures Rachel
AS COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER I WANT TO ENSURE THAT AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE KNOW ABOUT AFRICAN ADVENTURES AND THE DIFFERENCE THAT WE MAKE, AND, MORE IMPORTANTLY, THAT PEOPLE ARE ABLE TO GET TO KNOW US AND HOPEFULLY IDENTIFY AND ENGAGE WITH OUR ETHOS AND BELIEFS.

I love working for African Adventures because it allows me to combine my skills of communication and organisation with my passion for making a difference to people’s lives. I work closely with all of our teams at African Adventures to encourage strong communication throughout the organisation and externally; I believe that communication is one of the most important facets in any company and I want to champion this for the benefit of African Adventures’ partner projects and charity arm, African Adventures Foundation.

I have been fortunate enough to visit Kenya and Ghana to date and I found both trips incredibly humbling, emotional and rewarding; seeing the conditions in which some people live had a profound impact on me, and motivates me to work harder. I really believe in the work that African Adventures does as the projects are sustainable and are teaching the children in African to help change their own lives with our support. The excitement on the children’s faces when volunteers visit is so amazing to see and the incredible progress made each time a trip takes place makes what we are doing feel so worthwhile.
