The Sustainable Development Goals

Our commitment to the Global Goals

Our Commitment

African Adventures is a Signatory to the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), which aligns our work to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

We Support the UN Global Compact

The Sustainable Development Goals are a call for action by all countries – poor, rich and middle-income – to promote prosperity while protecting the planet. They recognise that ending poverty must go hand in hand with strategies that build economic growth and address a range of social needs including education, health, social protection, and job opportunities, while tackling climate change and environmental protection.

Launched in 2015, the Sustainable Development Goals are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all; they stimulate action in five critical areas of social and economic importance: people, planet, prosperity, peace, and partnership. This translates into 17 Goals, 15 of which African Adventures is committed to driving in the areas we work.

By being a Signatory to the UNGC, we commit to providing an end-of-year report on our progress. This holds us accountable for the decisions we make and the work that we do, and ensures that we retain a focus on the goals in question, giving our work real meaning.
