Having relocated sites after the 2017 summer programme, we are delighted to share good news from Mama Kerry in Kenya.
The school is looking smart thanks to Derby College volunteers who were placed at the project in January and supporters who have donated.
The group has constructed a new classroom with a finished concrete floor and the block has been brightened with a fresh lick of paint. The new classroom has been equipped with new desks thanks to volunteer funding and each classroom has a new freshly painted blackboard.
Pastor William, Founder of Mama Kerry, aims to eventually purchase the school’s land so that it can be secured as a permanent site. He and Headteacher, Madame Lourine, look forward to welcoming future volunteers to Mama Kerry to help build and develop it over the coming years.
