Louise Ramsdale

I joined African Adventures in 2019, and now hold the position of Partnerships Manager. I’m pleased that I can continue to work with young people having come from a background in teaching and international student recruitment.

I’m proud to be part of an ethically motivated company that strives to make a difference to young peoples’ lives in both Africa and the UK.

My role is to advise future group leaders on the type of trip that will bring out the best in their volunteers and positively contribute to the long-term development of one of our 25 partner projects. I help guide them through the process of planning a trip, and am always impressed by the courage and energy of young people who leave their comfort zones to immerse themselves in a new culture and grow as people. Having witnessed the positive impact that studying at a local college had on the university prospects and personal development of international students, I find it rewarding to listen to former volunteers talk about how an African Adventure has enriched their lives by increasing their confidence, resilience and insight into global citizenship.

In my free time, I love to travel and discover different cultures, and go cycling and hiking.
