Looking back to move forward

A new year brings the return of our blog page with the updated name of ‘News’. So much has happened since our last post in the summer that we thought we should bring you up to speed with a little update.

2018 saw a record number of volunteers at our partner projects across Ghana, Kenya, and Zanzibar! To top it off, Christmas in 2018 came slightly early too… At the beginning of December, we won the Best Volunteer Organisation at the British Youth Travel Awards, which was a perfect way to round off a successful year and a great achievement by all involved.

This year, we celebrate our 10th birthday, and to mark a decade of African Adventures, we are gearing up for our anniversary dinner at the end of March at Southampton FC’s St Mary’s Stadium.

We are also launching our inaugural Friends and Family trip, departing in October, which gives anyone wishing to do something amazing this year a chance to go to Kenya with a group of like-minded individuals. Places are limited, but the webpage holds all the information you need to make a decision and sign up today.

2019 looks like it is going to be another great year as we continue to offer meaningful volunteer experiences to people from across the UK, ensuring that our partner projects are provided with the long-term support they need to thrive and grow.

Keep checking the news section of the website for more content throughout the year, as well as getting involved in the discussion on our social media pages! We love hearing your stories and experiences so be sure to let us know what you’re up to.
