I JOINED AFRICAN ADVENTURES IN JANUARY 2015 TO TAKE UP A NEW ROLE AS FINANCE AND OFFICE MANAGER, A ROLE INTRODUCED AS A RESULT OF THE RAPID EXPANSION OF THE ORGANISATION.

In addition to the various administrative duties that I carry out, I also play a key role in HR and the maintenance of our accreditations e.g. the ‘Learning Outside the Classroom’ and an Approved Activity Provider for the ‘Duke of Edinburgh’s Award’ scheme.

My background is from Veterinary Pathology but I have been an Office Manager for many years and I enjoy the challenges of an industry that is very different from previous employment. My experience is supported with an HNC in Business and Management.

As time passes, I witness the enthusiasm of both the volunteers and the staff around me in the value of the work the company achieves in Africa. The business is growing, with increased numbers of volunteers making a life-changing trip to help others in Africa.

I have personally travelled to various places in Europe, the Caribbean and Belize and I am now learning more about, and gaining a keen interest in, the areas where African Adventures are making a difference.
