I started as Admin Assistant for African Adventures in January 2019. I support the Finance and Admin team with anything from booking hotels for the office team, to managing the My AA Shop. Every day is different, and it’s great to support such a fantastic team.
One of the recent projects I was involved in was helping the team prepare for our 10 Year Anniversary Dinner. A fantastic event which raised over £9,000 for the African Adventures Foundation and gave us the opportunity to thank all of the volunteers and staff who support our partner projects in Kenya, Ghana and Zanzibar.
It’s incredibly rewarding to be part of a team that positively impacts the lives of young people through education, to give them a better future and encourage them to be global citizens. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, and practising yoga.
