Friends and Family
African Adventures’ first friends and family trip departs for Kenya on 28th September 2019, when a group of like-minded individuals will be a part of a once-in-a-lifetime experience at our partner schools in the Rift Valley – and you are invited to join us.
The eight-night trip, which departs from London Heathrow, includes a week of volunteering and our famous Rift Valley Adventure Day on your day off. Regardless of age or experience, with the right enthusiasm and motivation, we believe everyone has something to offer, and our team will be there to support you every step of the way.
You can choose between two volunteer roles – Teaching & Multi-Sports or Building & Renovation – to help us fulfil our commitment to advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Those opting for Teaching and & Multi-Sports will spend their time assisting teachers in lessons, and engaging with children between the ages of 3-17. You will have access to a host of support and resources before you go, so you’ll be prepared before you travel. Our Building & Renovation programme, which is a more hands-on role focused on improving the facilities to create more conducive learning spaces, will also be based at one of our partner schools.
Our online volunteer portal, My African Adventure, provides all the information you’ll need before travel, including visa application support, vaccination advice, fundraising hints and tips, and what to expect in Kenya. Your trip will be led by one of our friendly, experienced Trip Hosts from your arrival in Nairobi to the moment you leave.
So, whether you join on your own or encourage friends and family to come with you, don’t miss this incredible opportunity to really get under the skin of this enchanting country. You will make some amazing memories, tick something off your bucket list, and find out new things about yourself, through a journey that is challenging, rewarding and worthwhile in equal measure.
This is your opportunity to make a lasting difference at our partner projects in Kenya and lifelong memories for yourself.
So, check out the trip details below and join today – we promise you won’t regret it!
Please note that all volunteers will be required to undergo a DBS check prior to travel, and that under-18’s will need to be accompanied by an adult.
