Fundraising Events

African Adventures Foundation has a programme of exciting fundraising events taking place throughout the year. The funds raised at these events contribute greatly to The Foundation’s annual total, allowing the necessary support to be provided to our partner projects in Africa.

It is easy to get involved in our fundraising events. All you need to do is get in touch with our Foundation Co-ordinator Tom on 023 8178 0957. Whichever event you choose, you will be part of a friendly African Adventures team and you will more than likely find at least one of our staff taking part!

An amazing evening spent with friends, family and colleagues, raising vital funds for our partner projects in Africa.

Book your tickets for the third African Adventures Foundation fundraising dinner on 6th May 2017 at the luxurious Mike Channon suite at St. Mary’s Stadium, Southampton.

Our 2017 dinner will be 1920’s themed, with amazing food, luxury raffle and auction, African craft market and live music! Every penny of profit made on the night will support the development of community projects in Ghana, Kenya and Zanzibar.

Our 2015 and 2016 fundraising dinners were sell-out events, and this year we have 320 tickets up for grabs so book your table now to avoid disappointment!

Take on the charity challenge of a lifetime in support of African Adventures Foundation. On 27th May 2017, a team of charity challengers will hike to the top of Africa’s second-tallest mountain, Mount Kenya.

This is the ultimate challenge for anyone looking to get fit and raise invaluable funds for a great cause. 100% of all donations that you raise from the climb will go to the projects we support in Ghana, Kenya and Zanzibar. This will be an incredible achievement to add to your ‘bucket list’ and a fantastic experience in terms of your personal development!

Often overlooked in favour of Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Mount Kenya is Africa’s second-tallest mountain. Kenya itself is named after the mountain (not the other way round) and for years now, endurance hikers and mountaineers have been heeding the mountain’s call and heading for its summit. On 27th May 2017, you and your fellow challengers will have the opportunity to join this elite club of hikers and take on the challenge to reach its snow-topped peak.

The trip is organised by African Adventures. Everything from flights and accommodation to meals and guides are included in the trip costs, so what are you waiting for? Get on board, get fundraising and encourage your friends to get on board too!

Please note that you must possess an adequate level of fitness in order to complete the climb. You should consult your doctor before signing up if you are unsure.

Do you think you are up to the challenge? Should you wish to find out more about this amazing opportunity, please contact Tom Waugh at tom@african-adventures.co.uk or by phone at 02381 780957. We would love to hear from you!

“Every day in Kenya brought us a new challenge and made us more and more aware of the challenges faced everyday by the young people we met. Being in the schools, spending time with the children and teachers, and visiting families in their homes is not something I will ever forget and I came home wanting to be able to continue supporting them through the charity.”

Stacy Steele, Skydive Participant

“Finally got home after an amazing weekend at the African Adventures Charity Ball. Not laughed so much in ages. Such a great bunch of people, fabulous food and entertainment while raising money for a wonderful cause. In five weeks’ time we will be back out in Nakuru, really can’t wait.”

Debbie Patrick, Derby County Community Trust

“The Mount Kenya Charity Challenge is a great opportunity for anyone looking for the challenge of a lifetime. Every challenger will make a massive difference across our partner projects by helping us to raise over £20,000 from the climb. So welcome to the team and see you at the top!”
