Coronavirus – an update for volunteers (29th June)

Coronavirus text

As a result of the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak and due to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) advising against all but essential travel abroad, African Adventures’ summer programme has been cancelled.

If you were due to travel with us over the summer (up until 31st August), we are currently making arrangements with your group leader to reschedule your trip for a later date, and you should have already been contacted by us or your group leader. If a postponement is not feasible, then the trip will be cancelled.

I am travelling later on in the year. Will my trip go ahead?

Trips taking place after 1st September are not currently affected, and will be reviewed closer to the time.

At the time of writing, it is expected that the FCO’s restriction on all but essential international travel will be lifted next week for a select few European countries. It is then anticipated that travel to longer-haul destinations which do not have high rates of Covid-19 infections will be opened up.

If there are any changes to your trip, we will contact you.

Is my money safe whilst we wait?

Yes, all trips organised by African Adventures are ATOL protected.
