Travel Update for Volunteers (April 2021)

Rosie Brent-Turner

Due to the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak and the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) advising against all but essential travel abroad, African Adventures’ volunteer programme is currently paused.

If you were due to travel with us before 17th June 2021, then, regrettably, your trip will not be going ahead as planned. We are currently making arrangements with your group leader to reschedule your trip for a later date or, if a postponement is not possible, the trip will be cancelled. You will be contacted by African Adventures or your group leader to advise you of your options.

I am travelling later in the year. Will my trip go ahead?

Trips taking place after 17th June 2021 are not currently affected, and will be reviewed closer to the time.

If there are any changes to your trip, we will contact you. If we need to cancel your trip, this decision will usually be taken 4-5 weeks prior to your scheduled departure date.

Can we postpone our trip?

If your group leader, or the organisation you are travelling with, wants to postpone your 2021 trip, they can do so without charge (except any airline fees). They will need to contact their Trip Co-ordinator.

Can I cancel my place on the trip?

If you decide you no longer wish to travel for any reason, you may cancel your place, although it will be subject to the standard cancellation charges outlined in our terms and conditions.
