For bookings made before 01 July 2022, you can postpone your trip dates for free up until 10 weeks prior to departure, minus any costs charged by the airline to cancel and/or rebook your flight.

The decision to postpone a trip can only be made by the group leaders or travelling organisation.

Individual volunteers can only postpone their place if their group has another trip booked with African Adventures, or if they are eligible for another trip organised by us. This decision is at African Adventures’ discretion.

Travel insurance is included with all our trips, and the policy we provide includes cover for medical costs associated with coronavirus, or suspected coronavirus, whilst abroad. It also provides cover in the event you are diagnosed with coronavirus, and therefore restricted from travel, prior to departure, or denied boarding at the airport following a positive test result. The policy also includes cancellation cover if you have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, and are told to self-isolate. Cover is also provided in the event of a mandatory evacuation from a your travel destination due to COVID-19.

The policy does not include cancellation cover if a your personal circumstances change, or you simply decide you no longer want to travel, and you should seek additional cover if you would like this to be an insured option.

If African Adventures cancels, or has to make any significant change to your trip, we will provide you with a full cash refund.

In this event, whilst we will not pay any compensation, we will not make any deductions.

If you cancel your trip, then the cancellation will be subject to our standard cancellation policy, which can be viewed in our terms and conditions.

All trips organised by African Adventures are ATOL protected and any monies paid to us are secure.

In the event of African Adventures’ insolvency, any monies paid to us by you would be refunded to you by the CAA. If you are abroad, then you will be repatriated at no cost.
